Happening This Month at Trinity

There is just one worship service on Sunday, February 12th at 10:30am

Family Soup & Movie Night!!
On February 8th at 6:00p you are invited to an evening of fun and fellowship at Trinity. We will gather in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 for a hearty Winter supper of home-cooked chili and Chicken Noodle Soup.

After everyone has eaten we will make our way to the sanctuary to watch a feature movie on the big screen. The film will be appropriate for all ages. Come and bring a friend - all are welcome!!

Ash Wednesday Worship
Lent begins with solemn worship that reminds us of the reason Jesus died on the cross. “Remember you are Dust & Unto Dust you shall return.” Lent is a time the church has historically considered a time to prepare our hearts and minds for the great gift of forgiveness and eternal life that comes to us through Jesus’ death and resurrection. It is a time to remember the suffering of Jesus, and focus on his great gift to us.

We will begin our observance of Lent with worship on Wednesday, February 22nd, at 7:00 p.m. Worship will include the imposition of ashes and the sacrament of Holy Communion. The Chancel Choir will provide special music and the Praise Team will sing. Nursery care and Van service will be available. Plan to begin Lent with this meaningful worship experience. All are welcome!!

Easter Flower Offering
Because of your generosity, on Easter morning our sanctuary will bloom with dozens of Easter Lilies, adding a sweet fragrance to our praise. The Elders sponsor the annual Easter Flower offering to fill our Easter experience with the aroma of the new life and a beautiful vivid visual image of joyful celebration.

To fund this project we will receive the Easter Flower offering. Because of the cost of Easter Lilies we are not asking individuals to purchase entire plants. Some may wish to contribute a few dollars, which is not enough to purchase a plant. Others may wish to donate toward the cost of two or three plants. This special offering allows everyone an opportunity to give toward the beauty of our Easter celebration. We will not publish a list of donors; however, your giving record will reflect a “special contribution.” Following Easter, our Elders will deliver the lilies to shut-ins. Thank you for your faithful and generous response to this opportunity.

Pastoral Care Reminder
Please call the church office if you or someone in your family is hospitalized. Due to the H.I.P.A.A. confidentiality regulations, some people are in the hospital for several days before the pastor or the church office becomes aware that there is a need for pastoral care. The pastor is happy to visit prior to outpatient surgery as well. However, we ask that you call the church in advance of your surgery so that the pastor can arrange a visit with you. It helps you receive the care you need if you contact the church when hospitalized.

Don't forget your groceries!
Please help to continue filling the two carts at church with groceries. Thanks for your continued participation to help us give aid to those less fortunate than us!
